Mothers are the lifeblood of the family and community

In-home postpartum support services

Ensure you have the postpartum experience you desire, with the love and support you deserve.

For thousands of years Postpartum support was a priority, known to be pivotal for the health of the family and wider community. If there is a pregnancy, there is a postpartum time, regardless of how the pregnancy ends.

Exploring traditional practices cross culturally they all have similar roots catering to the inherent physiologic needs of a Mother after birth.

These postpartum practices are deep in our cellular memory. Deep in our cultural memory.

Over the past few hundred years, these intrinsic-to-our-health practices, that honour and heal the Mother, have been largely forgotten in mainstream western societies.

I am devoted to returning the essence of these traditional practices back in to postpartum care, back in to women’s lives and their homes.

There is a cultural shift happening, where we as a collective are recognising how crucial the postpartum time is for a Mother.

Postpartum should be a time for healing, connection, regeneration, and transformation.

Women deserve attention and care during this sacred time, as a Mother’s health is foundational for not only the child’s health, the family’s health, but the health of the community and the planet.

I feel so honoured to be there along side Mothers through their sacred postpartum time: to witness and celebrate them through their journey.

We are living in challenging times.

Traditionally there would be a whole community of women that would surround and support a Mother after birth, but modern Mothers are normally alone in this time with their partners having to go back to work soon after the birth. This is so much for the Mother to deal with, when really they require rest, nutritious nourishing food, warmth, loving touch, body work, a kind attentive listener and nurturing support.

I intend to create a safe and loving space for Mothers where they feel seen, heard and listened to. Where they can be fully themselves as they traverse the transition from Maiden to Mother, or Mother the second, third or fourth time!

The number of visits per week will vary to meet the individual needs of the Mother, but usually it will be 2-3 visits per week and visits are usually 2-3hrs long.

There is so much information out there for pregnancy, birth and parenting, so I always encourage Mothers to look within and strengthen the unique inner innate wisdom that lies within each Mother.

I am very flexible and I understand every Mumma is going to have her own unique experience so please e-mail or call to discuss your own individual needs and circumstances.

I encourage women to get in contact with me early on during their pregnancy, as this allows for adequate discussion and planning to be put in place before the birth.

In our prenatal sessions we can discuss exactly what support you are after and how you want it to feel and look like, so that you can fully let go and be in your Postpartum time, reaping the rewards of all the love hormones pulsing through your body and bonding with your new born.
