Embodied pelvic care
Initially this service will assess the overall health of your body and pelvic structures. Starting externally, looking at your posture, abdomen, hips and nervous system. If an internal vaginal assessment is needed, then a very clear and in-depth explanation is given to explain the process. I want you to feel comfortable and safe and to trust me, so it is always a gentle and slow process. I will only proceed with internal work when I feel your energy and body is saying yes.
This process allows me to gain a thorough and holistic understanding of the energetic, emotional, environmental and physical factors that could be contributing to your situation, and what is needed to bring balance and healing to your pelvic area.
Scar tissue and tension patterns through the pelvic structures are very common and are responsible for a lot of the issues women experience in their pelvic area. Using Craniosacral therapy, pelvic physiotherapy techniques, scar tissue remediation, myofascial release, pilates rehabilitation, breath work, visualisation, sound, movement and emotional release; these areas of tension and scar tissue are able to release and balance can return to a woman’s pelvic bowl.
Through this work women feel a deeper connection to their feminine essence, their body and understand their feminine anatomy, so they can create self-care practices that are necessary for optimal long-term pelvic health.
I encourage young women, from teenagers to young adults, to come in for a session to understand their anatomy and menstrual cycle, release any shame they have around their body, learn about sexual consent and start womb/pelvic self-care practices early on.
This is also really important for women who are thinking of conceiving, as they can gain an understanding about their pelvic health prior to pregnancy, and make any changes that need to be tended to, which will then optimise their birth experience and postpartum time.
